Below is a collection of the Ink drawings for my adaptation of the first third of the Divine Comedy: Dante’s Inferno. Through the lens of this classic poem, I explored personal grievances, insecurities, and experiences. Ultimately culminating in a long and panoramic composition. For 3 months, I added 12 inches to the composition each subsequent week, which allowed me to explore various themes. From personal music taste, to finding a place as a contemporary artist within Art History, I used the inferno as an inspirational lightning rod. These images are the individual components of the larger composition, both in greyscale as well as color.
